MEN OF GRACE FISH FRY FUNDRAISER AND GOSPEL SINGING: 5 p.m. Aug. 25 True Grace Fellowship Church, 5178 Willard Norris Road in Milton will hold a fish fry and gospel music event. The cost is $8 for adult plates, $4 for ages 5 to 12 and children 4 and under eat free. Sound & Spirit will provide the music. BAGDAD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PERFORMANCE: 10 a.m. Aug. 26 Bagdad United Methodist Church at 4540 Forsyth St., will host flutist Julie Martin Maisel, Doctor of Music, during the worship service. Maisel is a graduate of Milton High School where she played four years with the band. During those years, they performed for the Super Bowl halftime, at Disney World in Orlando Florida and at the University of Mexico in Mexico. She also studied at the University of Southern Mississippi and she received her Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University.
Maisel currently resides in Dublin, Ireland where she teaches, performs and made several CD’s of her music. She is the daughter of our longtime member, Gloria Cruz and is home for a visit.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF MILTON: Worship services are 9 a.m. Sundays, followed by a coffee social at 10 a.m. and Sunday school at 10:30 a.m. at 5203 Elmira St., Milton. FPC Milton's Open Hearts Ministry, a Bible study group for adults with special needs, meets 6 p.m. Wednesdays.
