MILTON — Here is a list of scheduled faith-based services and events.

UPCOMING 

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF PACE:  

  • Saturday, Aug. 25: 10 a.m. Megan’s Love, picnic with the homeless, meet in the church kitchen to help prepare and distribute.

  • Sunday, Aug. 26: 9:45 a.m. coffee and doughnut fellowship in the gym; 10:10 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary; 5 p.m. Kenya mission team meeting in the conference room; 7 p.m. administrative board meeting in the sanctuary.

  • Monday, Aug. 27: 4:30 p.m. Stephen ministry in the upstairs CCC.

  • Tuesday, Aug. 28: 6 p.m. lay leaders committee meeting in the conference room; 6 p.m. praise band practice.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 29: 6 p.m. choir practice.

  • Saturday, Sept. 1: 10 a.m. back to school bash in the gym; 11 a.m. Megan's Love picnic for the homeless meets in the kitchen.

MEN OF GRACE FISH FRY FUNDRAISER AND GOSPEL SINGING: 5 p.m. Aug. 25 True Grace Fellowship Church, 5178 Willard Norris Road in Milton will hold a fish fry and gospel music event. The cost is $8 for adult plates, $4 for ages 5 to 12 and children 4 and under eat free. Sound & Spirit will provide the music. BAGDAD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PERFORMANCE: 10 a.m. Aug. 26 Bagdad United Methodist Church at 4540 Forsyth St., will host flutist Julie Martin Maisel, Doctor of Music, during the worship service. Maisel is a graduate of Milton High School where she played four years with the band. During those years, they performed for the Super Bowl halftime, at Disney World in Orlando Florida and at the University of Mexico in Mexico. She also studied at the University of Southern Mississippi and she received her Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University.

Maisel currently resides in Dublin, Ireland where she teaches, performs and made several CD’s of her music. She is the daughter of our longtime member, Gloria Cruz and is home for a visit.

RECURRING 

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF MILTON: Worship services are 9 a.m. Sundays, followed by a coffee social at 10 a.m. and Sunday school at 10:30 a.m. at 5203 Elmira St., Milton. FPC Milton's Open Hearts Ministry, a Bible study group for adults with special needs, meets 6 p.m. Wednesdays.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF MILTON: 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. regular Sunday worship services

DESTINY BIBLE CHURCH: Worship service is 10 a.m. Sundays. Wednesday’s Reflect, Share, Study is 7 p.m. at 4867 W. Spencer Field Road, Pace.

PLEASANT GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH: Events include 10 a.m. Sunday school, 11 a.m. worship service, 6 p.m. men’s and women’s studies and 7 p.m. worship service. Wednesday night Building Tomorrow’s Church meetings are at 7 p.m. The church is located at 11130 Highway 87 N., Milton.
