ADDICTION TREATMENT CENTER NOW ACCEPTS CIGNA INSURANCE: The Friary at Lakeview Center is now accepting Cigna Insurance for services. The Friary accepts many other health insurance plans including TriCare, and authorization for services is based on medical necessity.

Addiction treatment is not something that an individual or family should ignore. The Friary admissions team is striving to help the community by working with clients to determine their coverages and offer options when insurance won’t fully cover treatment.

The Pace Area Chamber of Commerce monthly Networking Luncheon will be on 12 p.m. August 1 at The Cutting Board.

Each person will order off the menu and pay the waitress after lunch. Door Prizes are always welcome. Please RSVP so that way we have an accurate head count.

The Azalea Garden Club of Pace is having their Welcome Back Party on August 13 at 12 p.m. at 4773 Pace Patriot Boulevard, Pace. SACRED HEART FREE SEMINARS FOR SENIORS: During August, Sacred Heart Senior Services will offer three free "Healthy Living" seminars at locations in Northwest Florida. "Do You Know What’s in Your Medicine Cabinet?" will take place 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola Conference Center, Greenhut Auditorium, 5151 N. 9th Ave., Pensacola. Suzanne Kelley will speak, a pharmacist with Covenant Care. Valet parking is available at the hospital front entrance.

"Aging in Place and in the Community" will take place 12 to 1 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Chapel Conference Room, 100 Daniel Dr., Gulf Breeze. Lauren Meadors will speak, development coordinator with the Council on Aging of West Florida, Inc.

SHORT COURSE NORTH: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 9 and 10, Short Course North, a Florida Federation of Garden Clubs sponsored event, will teach gardening and environmental issues at the Escambia County Extension 4-H Building, 3740 Stefani Rd, Cantonment. Discover how to plant and maintain ornamental grasses, pollinator and native plants, shade and rain gardening, and alternatives to turf. SANTA ROSA COUNTY WRITER’S GUILD: 3:45-5:45 p.m. Tuesdays at the Guy Thompson Community Center, 5629 Byrom Street Milton Poet Laureate Marc Livanos’ poetry night includes open mic, free-verse workshops, poetry contests with prizes, author events and refreshments.

MILTON GARDEN CLUB MONTHLY MEETING AND PROGRAM: 9:30-11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month, September through May at the Milton Event Center, 5256 Alabama St.
