PACE — An early morning fire at the Dollar General located at 4439 Highway 90 in Pace caused an estimated $50,000 of internal damage.
"It went out as a fire alarm at 2:38 a.m.," Pace Fire and Rescue battalion chief Robert Nowlin said.
Responding firefighters had the blaze under control by 3:01 a.m. preventing the fire from spreading outside of the building. There were no injuries. The Florida State Fire Marshall's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
Store representatives would not give details directing questions to their corporate media office. Updates to this story will come as authorities release details.
