MILTON — A boutique has recently reopened in Milton which offers unique fashion for ladies from infants to adults.

Kimberly Jernigan and her daughter-in-law Kyndal Jernigan of Surprizes Instore reopened in June, they said, following some personal family issues including deaths in the family.

“It was kind of a God thing,” Kimberly said on reopening the boutique, “something to keep us busy, you know? You've got to keep your mind going or else you sit around and feel sorry for yourself.”

Kimberly said she originally opened the boutique in 2002 to give herself something to do while her children were growing up.

“I was bored,” she said. “Literally, I was bored. Back then, I was young. I had a bunch of kids and I needed something to do.”

Kimberly said she chose the location because it was the only place they felt was right to them. She previously ran the shop at the same location for eight years until closing the store in 2010.

The name, Surprizes Instore, came out of a logo idea that they had for the boutique.

What makes this store unique to the community is that it will not carry the same merchandise continuously, they said. The boutique offers personalized embroidery for any items purchased.

Kymberly said they want customers to be able to walk out of the store with unique items. Their goal, they say, for the store is to bring something different to Milton.

In addition to regular fashion, the boutique offers many Christian-themed items, such as clothing with scripture references and jewelry. Kimberly said God is a key part of their business and life.

“We want to glorify God in all of it,” Kimberly said. “If we put God before everything else, then He is going to work out the plan for us.”

"Stop by and see us," Kyndal said. "We're open Tuesday through Saturday."

Suprizes Instore is located on 6556 Caroline Street, Milton Florida 32570.  Hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
