MILTON — Here are highlights involving area students:
Lanae Arena of Gulf Breeze will attend Oglethorpe University this fall, and was among incoming students who attended MAP Day (Making a Petrel) on June 22. The first-year Stormy Petrels had the chance to meet with advisors, enroll in fall semester classes, and receive their official Petrel Pass student IDs. Classes start August 20.
Founded in 1835, Oglethorpe University is Atlanta's only co-educational small private college, home to 1250 eclectic and engaged students from 33 states and 38 countries.
Cheyenne Andrew of Pace as made the Dean's List in the School of Engineering at Macon, Georgia's Mercer University. Inclusion on this list requires students to meet rigorous grade-point-average standards specific to the college or school within the University.
