BBB Foundation recognizes ethical businesses with annual awards

PENSACOLA — Two Santa Rosa County businesses received the 13th annual Torch Award for Ethics from the Better Business Bureau Foundation serving Northwest Florida, District I, which includes Escambia County as well.

Feeding the Gulf Coast of Milton was the Charity Category winner. Rip Hanks, Weather Shield Metal Roofing, Inc. of Gulf Breeze was the Customer Service Excellence winner.

“These recipients exemplify what your BBB stands for: trust, integrity, performance and ethics,” said Norman Wright, president and CEO of your BBB serving Northwest Florida.

The Torch Award for Ethics program was created to publicly recognize businesses and charities that insist on exceptionally high standards of behavior. BBB’s Customer Service Excellence Award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in their customer service activities.
