Santa Rosa County students recognized

MILTON — Here are highlights involving area students:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Five Santa Rosa County students made Samford University’s 2017 Spring Dean’s List. Those students are the following:

  • Hayden Hill of Gulf Breeze
  • Kaela Carpenter of Gulf Breeze
  • Alexa Haines of Gulf Breeze
  • Elliott Williams of Gulf Breeze
  • Savannah Wilson of Pace

Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Danielle Lieberman of Pace is one of the students listed on the President's Honor Roll at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas for the Spring 2018 semester. They are undergraduates who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.

ATLANTA — Quaide Weimerskirch of Milton has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Weimerskirch was among approximately 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 255th Commencement exercises on May 4-5, 2018, at the McCamish Pavilion.
