MILTON — Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners honors National Emergency Medical Services Week, May 20 through 26. They presented the men and women of Lifeguard Ambulance Service with a proclamation at their May 21 committee meeting to ensure their important contributions in safeguarding the county's health, safety and well-being are fully recognized.
Lifeguard Ambulance Service has provided unsubsidized EMS services for Santa Rosa County since August 2007. Emergency medical responders save lives by providing both basic and advanced medical care at the scene of an emergency and en route to a hospital. They show compassion to their patients in their most difficult moments.
"EMS Strong: Stronger together" is certainly a fitting theme of EMS Week 2018.
