PACE — While taking out the trash Thursday night at Pace Dry Cleaners, Tasha discovered an unexpected friend — an abandoned kitten.

“She was left in the dumpster behind the laundry mat in a box,” Tasha said. “I took the garbage out just before closing and I could hear her cry. Some guys helped me move some things and find her, and we checked and she was the only one there.”

Tasha took the kitten home, who she believes is about 3 weeks old, and plans on keeping her. Tasha has two dogs and a 30-year-old bird at home, but she’s excited about her new addition.

“God meant for me to find her,” Tasha said.

As for now, the kitten doesn’t have a name. Tasha says she wants to get a sense of her personality before she names her. The kitten is eating well and is playful.
