Milton athletes compete in powerlifting event

CRESTVIEW — Bar Strength & Conditioning members competed in Bending the Bar Volume 2, a powerlifting held March 24 and 25 at the Crestview Community Center. Steve Johnson, known as Forsaken Warrior, the 909.4-pound  U. S. raw deadlift record holder from Chicago came to the event for a deadlift seminar on Saturday and remained at the two-day powerlifting meet.

This powerlifting event was the the second annual Bending the Bar meet featuring the three main lifts composed of the squat, bench and dead lift.

This was a highly anticipated powerlifting event in Northwest Florida where athletes from all over the region have been preparing and discussing since the summer of 2017.
