CHIPLEY — Public high school students in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties will have the opportunity to vote on the mile-marker signage and benches for the Pensacola Bay Bridge replacement project. The Florida Department of Transportation has partnered with the Escambia and Santa Rosa County School Districts to make electronic voting ballots available to each high school student in the two districts.

Escambia County Schools will vote from March 19 to 23 while Santa Rosa County Schools will vote from March 28 to 30.

The option for each item that receives the most votes across both counties will be used on the new Pensacola Bay Bridge. The winner will be announced in April.
