Gun reported stolen in Milton vehicle break-in

MILTON — Milton Police Department officers responded to Hawks Nest subdivision March 9 at approximately 12:10 a.m. to a report of attempted vehicle burglaries.

The caller gave a clothing description and when officers arrived, they located two juvenile subjects fitting the description. The subjects were found in possession of a backpack with various items inside that were identified as not belonging to either of them.

Authorities arrested both subjects and charged them with attempted burglary. A search of the area met with negative results for vehicles that had been burglarized.

At 7:42 p.m. March 9, a victim came forward advising someone broke into his vehicle into between March 6 and 9 and took a .380 handgun.
