Winn-Dixie unveils newly remodeled Pace store

PACE — Winn-Dixie officially reopened its recently remodeled store Feb. 22 in response to customers who asked for an improved shopping experience. During the festivities, the Pace High band received a $2,000 surprise.

“Winn-Dixie is deeply rooted in the Pace community and has established a history of commitment and service going back more than 28 years,” President and CEO of Southeastern Grocers Anthony Hucker said. “The newly remodeled store is designed with the needs of this unique community in mind. 

“We’re excited to give our customers a store they can count on while continuing to offer a great shopping experience, providing exceptional service and the freshest products at the right price.” 

More than 100 customers lined the entrance of the Pace store Thursday morning. There was an official ribbon cutting, the entire Pace High School Band performing at the store, a special appearance by Kazoo — the Pensacola Blue Wahoos mascot — Mojo Breeze Band performing inside, giveaways and sampling. 

The Pace High School Band received a surprise $2,000 donation from the store to further the band program. The first 500 customers received a free mystery gift card valued between $5 and $500. 

With a new concept and features, customers may notice the enhancements throughout the new store including: 

• New facade signage and a fresh, contemporary color palate and modern store signage inside.

• Newly updated farm-fresh produce department including an expanded selection of fruits and vegetables.

• Improved deli with expanded grab-and-go meal options for added convenience, including fresh sub sandwich assortments.

• New SE Grocers Naturally Better product selection, offering a large variety of gluten free and organic products

• Expanded hot food bar with new varieties arriving daily.

• Expanded beer and wine section

• Expanded meat department with new “Pick 5 for $19.95” offering more than 100 items to choose from, including fresh and frozen meats for only $19.95

• An improved bakery department with new selections and displays.

• Updated floral department to help customers find the perfect bouquet for any occasion. 

Pace Winn-Dixie is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
