PENSACOLA — FamiliesFirst Network of Lakeview Center welcomes Michelle Giordano to its organization. She is helping the child protection services division answer the call to an increase in children coming into the child welfare system and needing to heal from trauma.
Giordano is passionate about community collaboration to secure safe, loving homes for children in foster care. In her FFN role as a therapeutic foster home recruiter, she will recruit specialized therapeutic foster parents using outreach, marketing and public relations methods and techniques. She also will serve as the primary point of contact for potential therapeutic foster parents and work with the families as they begin the licensing process. Recruitment efforts will occur in the four-county area to include: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton.
Giordano most recently served as recruitment specialist for Partnership for Strong Families in Gainesville, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth and Community Sciences from University of Florida; and will complete a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit Management from University of Central Florida in January of 2019.
