MILTON — Milton Council voted on firing the city manager, Feb. 13, near the end of the Milton Council meeting. Councilwoman Peggi Smith motioned to remove Watkins. The video begins with Mayor Wesley Meiss saying he would recommend Watkins wherever he goes, if the vote is against him. However, Meiss said he would side with those who have no faith in Watkins if he had to cast a tie-breaking vote. Ricky Downs and Meiss discuss why Meiss last year said he would not vote to fire Watkins.
