HOLLEY — The Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society Inc. will host the 2018 Woodstoke Pottery and Kiln Festival on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The event will be held at the Anagama kiln site, 7507 Buckeye Drive (on the corner of Highway 87 and Buckeye Drive in Holley, 7 miles north of Navarre).
The Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the art of wood-fired pottery. Two historical wood-fueled kilns, the historic Ralph Phillips Southern Groundhog Kiln and the 32-foot Anagama Kiln, will be unloaded during the festival, unveiling creations for many potters.
Attendees may assist with the unloading if they wish. Potters will exhibit and sell their one-of-a-kind artwork. The event is free to attend. Visitors can bring their lawn chairs.
A seafood, non-seafood and cornbread cook-off sampling will be a part of this year's festivities. Receive one of the 200 commemorative souvenir bowls for $10 and sample the food.
Prizes will be awarded for best dishes.
