SANTA ROSA COUNTY 4-H QUILTING WORKSHOPS: Santa Rosa County 4-H will offer a "Past, Present & Future 4-H Quilting Class" workshop series for current, former or prospective 4-Hers as well as adults. The series, in partnership with the Home & Community Educator volunteers, will teach the basics of quilting and prepare students for quilting projects. The cost is $10 per class ($40 total). Here is the schedule: Feb. 10 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) — cutting the quilt; March 10 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) — sewing it up; and April 14 (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) — putting it all together. YOUTH BASEBALL, T-BALL, SOFTBALL REGISTRATIONS: Gospel Projects Youth Athletic Club has opened baseball, T-ball and girls softball registrations. Parents can register their children for these sports from Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Saturday, Feb. 17. Gospel Projects provides programs for players ages 3 ½ to 16 for girls and ages 3 ½ to 14 for boys. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT CARPENTER’S PARK? Come talk to officials on Monday, Feb. 12, 6-8 p.m. during the public open house to share your thoughts on the concept plans for the park. The city of Milton has hired TSW, an Atlanta-based planning, architecture, and landscape architecture firm, and Volkert, Inc., an engineering firm, to work on a master plan for Carpenter’s Park. They have taken your feedback from the survey and first public meeting in fall 2017 to create multiple ideas for the future of the park, and they want to hear what you think.
