Santa Rosa sons complete basic military training

U.S. Air Force Airman Dylan J. Score

U.S. Air Force Airmen Mark E. Phillips and Dylan J. Score graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Phillips is the son of Kenneth Phillips of Jay, and Natasha Mercer-Voth of Colorado Springs, Colo., stepson of Scott Voth of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jessica Phillips of Jay, and brother of Dawn Phillips of Fargo, N.D. He is also the husband of Madeleine Phillips.

The airman is a 2015 graduate of Cabrillio Senior High School, Lompoc, Calif.

Score is the son of Terra R. and Jarrett J. Score of Navarre.

He is a 2017 graduate of Navarre High School.
