MILTON — A Santa Rosa County couple's newborn was the first baby delivered this year at Santa Rosa Medical Center.

Fletcher Michael was born Jan. 4 and weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and is 19.75 inches long.

He has two older brothers who parents Brandon and Mamie say are excited about the new addition to their family; Griffin is age 8; Ross is age 6.

“Dr. Sue George is who attended the delivery, and we had an amazing birth experience at SRMC with Dr. George and the nurses,” Mamie said.

The family returned home to Chumuckla, and they are enjoying time with their new baby. Brandon is a member of the United States Air Force, and Mamie is a paramedic in Santa Rosa County.

“We are very excited about our New Year's baby,” Mamie said.
