PACE — Tappie A. Villane, supervisor of elections, will speak at the next Santa Rosa Tea Party Patriots Meeting.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Pace Community Center, 7/10 of a mile past Berryhill Road. on Chumuckla Highway.
Villane was elected to the office of supervisor of elections in the August 2012 primary election. She assumed her elected position as supervisor in January 2013 and was re-elected without opposition in 2016.
She began with the Elections Office as a poll worker in 2000. She joined the staff as the poll worker/polling place coordinator in 2005. Before working for the Elections Office, Villane worked at ARC Gateway, a non-profit organization that serves people with disabilities.
Villane currently serves on the Florida State Association of Supervisor of Elections board of directors representing District 1. She is a State Certified Supervisor of Elections and attained a Master Florida Certified Election Professional designation in 2015.
She is a member of the Santa Rosa, Pace, Navarre and Gulf Breeze chambers of commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Florida in Communication Arts.
Villane is married to Paul and has one daughter, Kaycee.
