MILTON — Pine Terrace Baptist Church for the past few weeks organized The Giving Wall, which members designed to help area families in tough situations and provide them Christmas gifts.
"This year, we partnered with several different schools, including Berryhill Elementary, TR Jackson, Rhodes Elementary, East Milton and Bagdad Elementary," Karlyn Waters said in a message to the Press Gazette. "The Giving Wall is up in our church typically for three to four weeks with small cards [that] are kept anonymous, only providing information about the child's age and what they would like for Christmas.
"After all the gifts are collected, we host a free dinner for the parents and guardians of these children to attend to explain why we started The Giving Wall in the first place — to reach into our community and help those during the holiday season that need it."
