MILTON — The Milton High Mixed Chorus, under the direction of Katie Wernette, presented its second annual Christmas performance to the Santa Rosa Retired Educators Monday, Dec. 11.
In addition to traditional music, the singers performed new songs about fruit cake, quirky relatives and ugly Christmas sweaters, among other things. They received a standing ovation, Christmas candies and a pot luck lunch.
The Santa Rosa Retired Educators Association meets 10 a.m. the second Monday of each month at the Russell Center at Locklin Technical on Berryhill Drive in Milton. All retired educators, teachers, administrators and support staff, plus anyone interested in education, may attend the meetings and join the organization.
Each meeting involves fellowship, a program, the opportunity to join in volunteer service and a pot luck lunch.
