Navarre son completes basic military training

Air Force Airman 1st Class Desmond R. Davis

MILTON — Air Force Airman 1st Class Desmond R. Davis graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. 

The airman completed eight weeks’ training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. 

Basic training graduates earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Davis is the son of Teresa Davis of Montgomery, Ala., and Gregory Thompson of Navarre, and stepson of Deborah Thompson of Navarre. He is also the brother of Deirvin Davis and Kimberly Davis and husband of Sharlynda Davis. 

The airman graduated in 2009 from Robert E Lee High School, Montgomery, Ala., and earned a bachelor's degree in 2017 from Alabama State University, Montgomery, Ala.
