Pace Winn-Dixie helps provide Thanksgiving feast

PACE — On Sunday, Nov. 19, Pace’s Winn-Dixie store joined a local ministry to donate more than 200 Thanksgiving turkeys and meals to local families.

"It was a humbling experience for everyone to serve those residents in the community," a media release stated.

Southeastern Grocers, parent company to BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie stores, donated 2,200 turkeys to help feed the one in eight people who struggle with hunger on Thanksgiving.

The grocer collaborated with community organizations across its seven-state footprint to donate and distribute the approximately 37,000 pounds of turkey.
