MILTON — Gabriella Nail and Olivia Carrier, Milton girls who share a birthday, presented the Santa Rosa Kids’ House and the Santa Rosa County Animal Services shelter with two car loads of needed items.

Gabriella and Olivia, lifelong friends, decided to do something special for their 10th birthday. The girls mailed invitations to family and friends and asked that they bring items for the Kids’ House and the animal shelter in lieu of gifts for themselves.

As guests arrived at the Bagdad Mill Site Park for the girls’ "paw-ty," the gift table overflowed with diapers, toothpaste, bottled water, juice boxes, tissues, antibacterial hand wipes, and much more for the Kids’ House. The dogs and cats at the animal shelter received kitten food, dog food, food dishes, treats, toys and much more.

Both girls are in the fourth grade at Berryhill Elementary School and their teacher is Jane Whitney. Gabriella and Olivia both enjoy playing soccer at Gospel Projects and are active at Pine Terrace Church.

The girls said they were happy with their birthday "paw-ty" and they thank all who supported them to spread love and kindness to others.
