MILTON — Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jevon Lamar Husfelt on two counts of attempted homicide of his girlfriend and a male victim. Authorities are currently holding Husfelt at the Santa Rosa County jail without bond.
Deputies responded to an early-morning report of a stabbing Nov. 9 on Kabel Drive in Milton, according to Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Rich Aloy. They found the two victims with knife wounds around 5:15 a.m. The individuals received immediate transport to a Pensacola hospital.
Husfelt allegedly had fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.
An officer took a sworn interview from a witness and then walked the crime scene. According to the arrest report, the officer observed blood spatter in multiple rooms, one containing a pipe the deputy identified as one commonly used for smoking methamphetamine.
Deputies located Husfelt approximately three quarters of a mile away and took him to the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office where Major Crimes officers interviewed him.
Husfelt denied stabbing the male victim, according to the report but information on his girlfriend the Sheriff’s Office redacted.
At the hospital, the officer observed defensive wounds on both victims, according to the report.
The officer believes Husfelt used a folding knife to attack both victims who fought back before he fled the scene.
