Why can't other states function without an income tax?

Dear editor,

Why should Florida, as a no income tax state, subsidize high income tax states such as Republican Peter King's state of New York?

Why is their high income state tax used to reduce that state’s personal obligation of its people for paying federal income tax with state income tax deductions?

It's nothing more than rural Republican areas of the country paying a portion of the federal tax burden for the urban Democrat large cities but with them having higher incomes.

Why is it Florida functions without a state tax and New York can't? Why is it Democrats are always against government spending cuts (state included) but never want to cut federal taxes to stimulate private job growth?

Can you tax the private sector out of business with high taxes? Yes, a 100 percent income tax rate would do exactly that, so a high tax rate hinders the private sector's ability to expand and create jobs.

Can you destroy government by not collecting any tax revenue?

Absolutely.

That is exactly why our founding fathers' vision of a limited but effective government was written into our constitution as to not destroy itself under a huge and growing debt of spending.
