Lee and Mattie Freeman celebrate 60 years of marriage Nov. 17. [Special to the Press Gazette]

Ora Lee Freeman and Mattie Barnes Freeman of Milton will soon celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.

Lee Freeman was born in Dothan, Ala.; Mattie was born in Webb, Ala. The couple married Nov. 17, 1957.

Their children are Ora C (known as RC) and Carolyn Evon Freeman of Milton, Robert and Tracy Freeman of Milton, Bobby and Carmen Freeman of Milton, Debra and David Hunter of Orlando, Billy and Patricia Freeman of Milton, Rodney and Elizabeth Maron Freeman of Lithia Springs, Ga., Keith and Tracy Freeman of Milton, Keicha Freeman of Milton, Angel and Romain Stallworth of Pensacola, Anthony Freeman of Milton, Tina Freeman of Pensacola, and many more children the couple have fostered and adopted over the years.

The Freemans have over 24 grandchildren and over 10 great-grandchildren, according to information provided to the Press Gazette.

Lee Freeman is a retired truck driver of 50 years. Mattie Freeman is retired after being a caretaker for children and the elderly for many years.
