MILTON — Guardian Pharmacy of Northwest Florida has announced the acquisition of Gulf Medical Services’ long-term care pharmacy business in Milton.

The deal increases Guardian NWFL’s patient care portfolio by 20 percent and adds a new At-Home Long-Term Care Patient line of business, marking the pharmacy’s first venture into this model of care.

The At-Home LTC Patient program allows Guardian NWFL to serve residents living in their own homes or with family members. This model promotes independence and the ability for individuals to continue with their normal daily routines while ensuring that medication management is handled accurately and safely.

“We are very excited about adding this new model of care and the chance to aid additional residents in our market,” said Bobby Dunn, president and owner of Guardian Pharmacy NWFL. “Medication management is complex, but it doesn’t have to be. By adding the At-Home LTC Patient program, we can simplify this process for those at home just as we do for residents in LTC communities.”

Headquartered in Crestview, Guardian NWFL provides pharmacy services across the region from Tallahassee to southern Alabama, including the cities of Pensacola, Destin and Panama City, and Dothan, Enterprise, Mobile, Baldwin County and Andalusia, Ala.

The pharmacy is one of 30 pharmacies in the Guardian network that serves 20 states.
