Mediacom employees earn awards, recognition

GULF BREEZE — 11 local Mediacom employees earned top customer service awards during an awards ceremony held earlier this month at Mediacom’s Regional Operations Center in Gulf Breeze.

Here's who won:

  • Chris Turner, a resident of Gulf Breeze, was awarded the national gold-level ‘Command Center Employee of the Year’ award. Turner has been employed with Mediacom for seven years.
  • Ed Love, a resident of Pace, was recognized with the national gold-level ‘Trainer of the Year’ award. Love has been employed with Mediacom for nine years.
  • Joshua Gurley, a resident of Milton, earned the national gold-level ‘People’s Choice Award’ for his work as a broadband specialist in the technical operations field. Gurley was chosen as the recipient of this award based on his excellent work performance and customer interactions.
  • Michael Curran, a resident of Milton, received the national gold-level award for his exemplary work as an IT support representative.
  • Michael Pallone, a resident of Navarre, was recognized with the national gold-level award for his work as lead technical support specialist.
  • Sam Speer, a resident of Gulf Breeze, was the recipient of the national gold-level ‘Agent of the Year’ award for his work as a technical support specialist. Speer has been employed with Mediacom for five years.
  • Sandra Randall, a resident of Navarre, was awarded the national silver-level award for her exemplary work as an internet technical support representative.
  • Margarite Blackwell, a resident of Gulf Breeze, was recognized with the national bronze-level ‘Employee of the Year’ award for her work as a total care specialist. Blackwell has been employed with Mediacom for six years.
  • Jennifer Field, a resident of Gulf Breeze, earned the region’s ‘Unsung Hero’ award for her work as the region’s administrative associate. Field has been employed with Mediacom for 12 years.
  • Julie Jones-Payne, a resident of Gulf Breeze, was recognized with the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for her work as a customer service representative in the Gulf Breeze call center.
  • Michael Wigle, a resident of Milton, was recognized with the ‘Employees’ Choice Award’ for his work as a telemarketing representative in the Gulf Breeze call center.
