2. TAKE A GHOST TOUR. Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site will host Arcadia After Dark 6-10 p.m. Oct. 14 at 5709 Mill Pond Lane in Milton. This is a family-friendly walk through the park, introducing guests to ghosts of Arcadia’s past. The tour will last approximately 40 minutes. 3. LEARN ABOUT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. Milton Fire Department will hold an open house at their firehouse 12-3 p.m. Oct. 14 at 5321 Stewart St. in Milton. There will be demonstrations, vendors and food at the event. Call the fire station at 983-5430 for more information.
4. CELEBRATE LOCAL HISTORY. The Annual Munson Heritage festival will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 and 15 at the Krul Recreation Area on Krul Lake Road in Milton. The festival recalls the days when Munson was a booming logging town. There will be demonstrations of a working gristmill, stocked chicken coops, an operational sawmill, cane syrup production, a car show, a genuine outhouse and country kitchen, arts and crafts, food and entertainment. Parking is $10. No pets, alcohol or firearms are permitted at the event. Call 546-0027 for more information.
5. ENJOY LOCAL MUSIC. Bands on the Blackwater returns 7-9 p.m. Oct. 13 on South Willing Street. The outdoor concert series, held Friday nights in downtown Milton, is free to attend. You can pull up a boat or bring a lawn chair and relax while listening to music. This week’s featured band is The Blenders.
