MILTON — Milton High School’s 2017 Homecoming celebration will be on Oct. 6.
The campus will bustle with many activities throughout the week, culminating in Friday’s events: the Homecoming parade, game and crowning of the Homecoming Queen.
Homecoming fever has struck, as the classes and clubs are busy planning for the skit, float, car, and door competitions.
Escapades, an event that showcases the club and class skits, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 in the James Rosser Gymnasium.
The Homecoming assembly will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 in the gymnasium.
At 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, the Panther student body will be entertained by winning skits at the Homecoming Pep Rally.
The week will come to a grand finish on Friday, starting with the Homecoming Parade, which will begin at King Middle School at 10:30 a.m. It will travel south on Stewart Street, turn on Magnolia Street, then turn onto Byrom Street, proceed to Raymond Hobbs Street, and then turn back on Stewart Street.
The parade will turn on Park Avenue and end in the south parking lot of MHS. That evening, the 2017 Homecoming candidates and class representatives will be introduced at pre-game, beginning at 7 p.m.
During half-time, Morgan Ellys Willet, the 2016 Homecoming Queen, will crown the 2017 Homecoming Queen.
MHS sophomore Brianna Dodgen will serve as emcee for the evening’s events.
