PACE — Local residents can apply for or renew their statewide concealed weapon licenses at the Pace branch of the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector's office, according to Tax Collector Stan Colie Nichols.
Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam has partnered with Nichols to offer a more efficient concealed weapon license application process to Santa Rosa residents.
The Santa Rosa County Tax Collector's Office is authorized to take fingerprints, photographs and accept applications as well as process renewals on behalf of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
"We have a consistent track record of working closely with state leaders to innovate in the area of how state services are delivered at the local level." Nichols said. "This service was not being offered to the citizens of Santa Rosa County and I am pleased that our office will be able to streamline the application and renewal process for the public."
The Pace Branch of the Santa Rosa Tax Collector's office, located at 4487 Chumuckla Highway behind CVS, will begin processing applications as well as renewals on Friday, Oct. 13 by appointment only.
