Fall Job Fair returns to West Florida

PENSACOLA — CareerSource Escarosa will partner with Escambia County and Pensacola State College to host the 2017 Fall Job Fair.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Brownsville Community Center, 3200 W. De Soto St., in Pensacola.

At no cost, job seekers will have the opportunity to network with over 60 employers seeking individuals to fill their open positions.

Employers will recruit for positions in various fields including health care, information technology, aerospace, cyber security, hospitality, customer service and retail, communications, governmental, manufacturing and corrections.

Applicants should dress professionally and bring resumes.

Economic injury disaster loan deadline set

MILTON — The U.S. Small Business Administration reminds small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations that Oct. 23 is the filing deadline for federal economic injury disaster loans in Florida.

Applicants must have endured hardships as a result of the drought that began on Dec. 1, 2016.

The declaration includes these Florida counties: Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton and Washington.
