Drivers will encounter alternating lane restrictions on U.S. 98 in Gulf Breeze near the Pensacola Bay Bridge Thursday, Sept. 21 and Friday, Sept 22.
The changes are associated with utility relocation efforts and embankment construction. Westbound lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 as crews shift travel lanes slightly to the right. Eastbound lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 as lanes are shifted slightly to the left.
Motorists are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through the construction zone, and to pay attention for workers and equipment entering and exiting the work area. All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
