Pace conference to focus on persecuted Christians

PACE — On Sept. 16, Pace Assembly of God will host the first Voice of the Martyrs ADVANCE Conference in Northwest Florida, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Voice of the Martyrs is a nonprofit, interdenominational organization that offers practical and spiritual help to persecuted Christians around the world.

Conference doors open at 8 a.m. for registration, prayer room and resource area. Lunch is 12-1:15 p.m. on your own at area restaurants.

There is no charge to attend but there will be an opportunity to give an offering; no child care will be provided, and video and photography are prohibited during the conference.  

On Sept. 17, Kamal Saleem, a former PLO and Muslim Brotherhood member, will speak. Saleem “now works to reach a lost and oppressed people with education, relationship, and prayer through the truth and liberty of Jesus Christ,” an event media release states. “Kamal left his family and home in the Middle East as a young man to enter his mission field: the United States. Join us at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to hear Kamal speak of his experiences and conversion from a Muslim belief system to Christianity.

FreedomWorks member, media critic to address Republicans

NAVARRE — The Santa Rosa County Republican Executive Committee Lincoln Day Dinner will take place 4 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Creekside Southern Grill at the Club at Hidden Creek, 3070 P.G.A Blvd., Navarre.  Luke Rosiak from the Daily Caller and C.L. Bryant of FreedomWorks will serve as keynote speakers.

A VIP reception, with speakers and elected officials, starts at 4 p.m., followed by dinner and presentations from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets cost $75 per person for non-members and $60 per person for members. VIP seats cost $100 while $125 tickets include the VIP reception and dinner.
