No taxpayer bailout for failure of moral leadership

Dear editor,

In the early 1920’s the KKK lost their choice of a Democratic presidential candidate by one vote of the over 1,000 cast at a highly contentious convention.

In the late 1920’s the father of President Trump was arrested due to conduct while marching in New York City supporting hate groups demeaning of Catholics, Jews, and African Americans.

In the early 1990’s President Bush strongly publicly condemned a KKK leader in a Republican runoff for governor of Louisiana. President Bush clearly stated that KKK values had no place in leadership.

Proving the apple does not fall far from the tree, candidate and President Trump has adamantly publicly supported his father’s values condemned by President Bush.Florida Republican “moral leaders” continue to proudly endorse by lack of comment.

America was founded on an idea that “all men are created equal” and are endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights. Leadership approving that ignoring our founder’s moral principles has no impact on the security of the United States, herein or abroad, places America at risk.

Now that the KKK and Nazi hate groups are the moral standard for Republican leadership, why do taxpayers continue to support them?
