1. ENJOY WATER PLAY. Stump Springs Baptist Church will host a Back to School Splash Party 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sept. 2 at 3600 Three Notch Trail in Milton. The event is free to attend and open to all school-age children. There will be free hot dogs, chips and watermelon. The event will include a water slide. The church asks that boys wear swim shorts and a T-shirt and girls wear a T-shirt over their swimsuit.

2. ATTEND A BEACH CONCERT. The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 10th annual free summer concert series, Tunes by the Dunes, from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 31 at Navarre Beach Park, 8739 Gulf Blvd. in Navarre. The concert series has a line-up of 14 free outdoor concerts every Thursday at the Sand Crab Pavilion in Navarre Beach Park. This concert is the last of the series and features Lucky Dogs.

3. SHOP LOCAL. Sand Dollar Plaza’s monthly celebration and outdoor marketplace offers shopping and food 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 2 at 1900 Highway 87, Navarre.
