MILTON — Here are highlights involving area students:

U of Dallas names top students

  • Hannah Stefancik, of Milton, was named to the University of Dallas Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester for earning a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Stefancik is majoring in English.
  • Elena Naccari, of Milton, was named to the University of Dallas Honor Roll for the spring 2017 semester for earning a semester GPA of 3.0-3.49. Naccari is majoring in Art — Art History.

Troy students graduate

Troy University recognizes the following students who completed requirements for graduation during the summer semester and Term 5 of the 2016/2017 academic year.

 Local residents who graduated include:

  • Sarah Slack of Bagdad, Master of Social Work
  • Kali Flanders of Baker, Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Olivia Jones of Pace, Bachelor of Science
  • Matthew Holt of Navarre, Associate of Science in General Education
  • Ray Sanders of Navarre, Bachelor of Science
  • Kathleen Watters of Pace, Master of Science

The summer semester includes graduates from the Troy, Ala., campus. Term 5 graduates include students at Troy's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with teaching sites outside of Alabama and online.
