FRIENDS OF THE GULF BREEZE LIBRARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING: 5:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. Board meetings take place at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Gulf Breeze Library. Visit www.facebook.com/friendsofgblibrary for more information.

FRIENDS OF THE PACE LIBRARY BOARD MEETING: 5:30 p.m. Aug. 8, 4750 Pace Patriot Blvd. Board meetings start at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every other month, beginning with January, at the Pace Library. ERIC CARLE PARTY: 11:30 a.m. Aug. 9 at the Gulf Breeze library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. Kids ages 5 to 12 may hear a few stories by Eric Carle at the Gulf Breeze library. Arts and crafts will also have an Eric Carle theme. Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library will provide refreshments.

SUMMER MOVIE AFTERNOON: 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Milton library, 5541 Alabama St. Friends of the Milton Library will provide refreshments. Free.

PAGE TURNERS: 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at the Gulf Breeze library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. The fiction book club meets at 10:30 a.m. on the second Friday of every other month. This month's selection is "Underground Railroad" by Colson Whitehead. There is a limit of 20 participants, so visit the library to sign up.

GAME NIGHT: 3-6 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Jay library – 5259 Booker Lane. Visit the Jay Library for game night. Bring games from home or play those provided by the library. This event is open to all ages and game groups are welcome.

ANIMANGA CLUB: 4 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Dr. Visit the Gulf Breeze library at 4p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month to learn and share graphic art skills in a fun environment. The AniManga Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of animation, cartooning and related arts. The club is open to youth in grades six through eight. Registration is not required.

GRAPHIC NOVEL BOOK CLUB: 5 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Milton library, 5541 Alabama St. Join fellow graphic novel enthusiasts at the Milton library on the third Tuesday each month to discuss the book of the month. Members can suggest reading ideas, interests and discuss the world of the graphic novel. This month's selection is "Wonder Woman: The Lies" by Greg Rucka. Call or visit the library to sign up.

THIRD FRIDAYS WITH UF/IFAS EXTENSION: 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the Gulf Breeze library, 1060 Shoreline Dr. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services presents "Backyard Chickens" by UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County 4-H Agent Prudence Caskey 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the Gulf Breeze Library.

FICTION FANATICS BOOK CLUB: 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Navarre library, 8484 James M. Harvell Rd. Join the Fiction Fanatics for conversations about popular works of fiction at 11:30 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month except May and November. This month's selection is "My Not So Perfect Life" by Sophie Kinsella. Registration required. Speak to a staff member to reserve a copy.

BIBLIOBABBLERS TEEN BOOK CLUB: 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Dr. Ninth- through 12th-graders who are 14-18 years old can discuss the read-of-the-month at the Gulf Breeze Library. Bibliobabblers meets at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every month. This month's book is "Gone" by Michael Gant.

UF-IFAS EXTENSION: 10 a.m. every third Thursday at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services presents a monthly series on a variety of topics with solutions for your life. They can provide information about agriculture, the environment, sustainable living, disaster preparation and recovery, 4-H youth development, family and consumer issues, and lawn and garden problems.
