PACE — Pace Rotary Club recently welcomed guest speakers Kace Browning and Melanie Perritt from L.E.A.D. Academy Classical School.

The academy is a faith-based school founded in 2013. It offers a classical, Christ-centered education for students in grades K4-12.

From its initial enrollment of 35, the school has grown to over 400 students. Expansion plans are underway using recently purchased property on Chumuckla Highway. School officials will construct new buildings over time so that their student population can continue to grow.

As the current school is at capacity, middle through high school students will use rented classroom space at a nearby church. Enrollment, tuition and scholarship information are available online or by contacting the school directly.

Wayne Forbush also joined Browning and Perritt to tell members about on an upcoming golf tournament. The event will take place Sept. 15 at Stonebrook Golf Club. Contact Forbush at 602-4201 for more information about this fundraiser for L.E.A.D. Academy.

Pace Rotary meets 7 a.m. Thursdays at Stonebrook Golf Club, 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace.
