Pace poet wins national competition

PACE — Savannah Patterson of Pace High School won the title of Florida State Beta Club Senior Division 1 Poetry Champion at the National Beta Club Convention.

During the July 1 event at the Swan Hotel in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Savannah represented the state of Florida and Pace High School. Earlier this year, she won first place in the poetry division at the National Beta Club State Convention.

Savannah’s work was also featured at the Blackwater River Festival three years ago, where she won first place for one of her poems.
