5 things to do in Santa Rosa County

1. LOOK AT CARS. Sandy and Bubba's Milton Chevrolet will host a car show from 5-8 p.m. July 21 at 5925 Highway 90 in Milton. The event is free to attend. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to Santa Rosa Kids’ House. Call 626-8000 for more information or how to register your car.

2. ATTEND A BEACH CONCERT. The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 10th annual free summer concert series, Tunes by the Dunes, from 6-8 p.m. July 20 at Navarre Beach Park. The series runs Thursdays until Aug. 31 at the Sand Crab Pavilion in Navarre Beach Park. This week’s artist is A Touch of Gray, an oldies band.

3. LEARN MILTON HISTORY. The Santa Rosa Historical Society will present the third Santa Rosa County History Month presentation 2 p.m. July 23 at the Imogene Theatre, 6866 Caroline St., Milton. Presenter Sharon Marsh will speak on her book, 1st Florida Cavalry Union Volunteers in the Civil War, and will focus on some of the continuing impacts on Milton and Bagdad during the war. Marsh is a descendant of several Northwest Florida pioneers on her mother’s side of the family and early panhandle arrivals to the new state of Florida on her father’s side.

4. ENJOY WATER PLAY. The city of Milton will host the Milton Youth Fun Fest 12-5 p.m. July 22 at the Guy Thompson Community Center at 5629 Byrom St. Activities will include water slides, games and food. Admission is free.

5. ADOPT A PET. SouthBARK Animal Rescue will host a pet adoption event 10 a.m. July 22 at PetSmart, 4735 Highway 90, Pace.
