PACE — Pace Rotary’s latest guest speaker was Christian Garman, co-manager of the Story Lab at the University of West Florida’s Innovation Institute.

The Story Lab is a newly created endeavor that will showcase the stories of UWF students and faculty both in the community and around the country.

“As an extension of the institute, Christian and his team of innovators are working to make us aware of the exceptional contributions emerging from UWF every day,” a Pace Rotary media release states. “Innovation Institute was designed around a belief in the power of collaborative thinking and utilizes the IDEA acronym of incubate, design, experience and act.

“Though primarily used for the benefit of educational and government-sector organizations, the institute problem-solves for corporations and non-profits as well. By understanding needs and challenges, they are able create greater opportunities for success for themselves and for others.”

Through incubating new ideas, testing new products and designing best practices, they are able to introduce changes that can improve Northwest Floridians’ way of life.

Pace Rotary meets 7 a.m. Thursdays at Stonebrook Golf Club, 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace.
