UPDATE: Alanda Lee McCoy, 4, has been found.
McCoy was found with no apparent physical harm according to initial reports.
“From all appearances, she’s ok,” Public Information Officer Pamela Holt said.
A concerned citizen called the police department after recognizing the green, 2007 Mercury Montego from previous reports according to Holt. Authorities have not released the exact location.
“We’re very thankful for all the citizens’ tips that came in because one of them led to her location,” Holt said. “Citizens being aware is what found her. We’re thankful for all the hard work of the agencies here at the command agencies, Milton Police Department detectives, all the hard work that went in from 3 a.m. this morning to noon. It was 11:30 a.m. she was found. We’re very thankful.”
The Milton Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations were the agencies involved in McCoy’s alleged abduction according to Milton Police Chief Tony Tindell.
“We had 150 officers on standby if this thing went further,” Tindell said.
Officers are questioning Kavchak.
“We don’t know the whole story,” he said. “There is still a lot of investigating left to do.”
