MILTON — This July, Big Screen on the Blackwater will feature a series of three summer movies in the newly revamped Milton Event Area.
People can come downtown with lawn chairs or blankets and watch a movie, starting at 7:30 p.m., July 14, July 21 and July 28.
The schedule follows.
July 14: "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" (2016)—This movie, based on J.K. Rowling's book, details the adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards 70 years before Harry Potter reads his book in school. This movie stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterson and Alison Sudol.
July 21: "Moana" (2016)—This Disney animated adventure focuses on an impetuous Polynesia chieftain’s daughter’s island and her answer to the ocean’s call. This movie stars Auli’I Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson and Rachel House.
July 28: "Star Wars: Rogue One" (2016)—The Rebel Alliance makes a bold and risky move to steal plans for the Death Star, which sets up an epic saga about a galaxy that existed a long time ago. This movie stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk.
All three movies for Big Screen on the Blackwater are rated PG or PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America.
There is no cost to watch these movies, which are sponsored by Sam’s Club, The Shrimp Basket in Milton and the Santa Rosa County Federal Credit Union.
Attendees can bring their own refreshments or enjoy available concessions.
