Immanuel sets VBS, youth sports and outreach efforts

PACE — Immanuel Baptist Church has scheduled these programs: 

  • Vacation Bible School, June 19-23. This free event, for first- through fifth-graders, features recreation, crafts, music and a daily Bible story. Register at www.ibcpace.com
  • Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading: This sports league is for children entering first grade through sixth grade. Early registration (now through July 7) costs $75 per child; late registration (July 8-28) costs $85 per child. The season runs from Aug. 21 through Nov. 3. Multiple-child discounts are available; a limited number of scholarships are available. See www.ibcpace.com or email Matt Richards, league director, at mrichards@ibcpace.com to register your child. 
  • Backpacks of Hope: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 4; 350 backpacks are filled with school supplies and provided for elementary, middle and high school students in need while supplies last. The event features free haircuts, food pantry assistance, hygiene kits (one per school-aged child), and new shoes and socks (one set per school-aged child).
