3 things to do in Santa Rosa County

1. ENJOY LOCAL MUSIC. Bands on the Blackwater returns 7 p.m. June 2 on South Willing Street. The outdoor concert series, held Friday nights in downtown Milton, is free to attend. You can pull up a boat or bring a lawn chair and relax while listening to music. This week’s featured band is Bay Bridge Band. 

2. FISH FOR A CAUSE. The Southeastern Dog Hunters Association will hold their first annual Fishin’ for our Tradition Spring Bass Tournament and fundraising event at Carpenter’s Park in Milton. Blastoff is at 6 a.m., and weigh-in is at 2 p.m. A cookout fundraiser and Southeastern Dog Hunters Association meeting will follow. Boat entry is $60. There will be a maximum $1,000 payout for first place. Additional activities include a 50-50 lunker challenge and a cookout. Proceeds benefit Seasons of Hope. 3. ATTEND A BEACH CONCERT. The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will kick off its 10th annual free summer concert series, Tunes by the Dunes, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 1 at Navarre Beach Park. The concert series will offer a line-up of 14 free outdoor concerts every Thursday until Aug. 31 at the Sand Crab Pavilion in Navarre Beach Park. This week’s artist is Swingtown, a Steve Miller tribute band.
