MILTON— The city hosted the first Milton in May festival May 19 and 20, beginning with Friday night's Bands on the Blackwater and carrying on into Saturday with various events for residents of all ages.

Bands on the Blackwater kicked off the event with a performance from The Reunion Band and continued Saturday night with Bad JuJu at the new event location on South Willing Street in downtown Milton.

Barbecue on the Blackwater, a cooking competition; Blackwater Water Fest, a festival of water slides for kids; and Camp Fire Car Show, which included seven categories and benefited Camp Fire Gulf Wind, made up the Milton in May festival, along with booths from local businesses.
