PACE — Woodbine United Methodist Church of Pace traded their Sunday, April 30 service for "Faith in Action," a day of community service.
Many church members packed bags of food such as sandwiches for area volunteers. Others worked on lawn care, house cleaning and house repair projects. This year's biggest project was the construction of three ramps to give handicapped people easier access to their homes.
The church held its first public "Faith in Action" event in 2011; this was the fourth year they have participated, according to lead pastor Jimmy Allen.
